Reliable Glass Company, parent company to Ramco, was founded in 1951 by David A. Tarrance, which was originally run out of his home in Detroit. He knew that exceptional customer service was the best way to grow and came up with the saying "Always Service Allways".
In 1969 Reliable Glass Co. (RGC) was incorporated and Douglas F. Tarrance, son of David, became president. RGC wholesaled flat glass and manufactured insulated units under the name Micro Seal. RGC also distributed architectural panel and metal. Because they exceeded customer expectations and had a great product line, RGC soon became the largest nonunion glazing contractor in Michigan.
With over 40 years of glazing experience, Douglas decided to get out of glazing and started manufacturing his own line of architectural metals. In 1985 Reliable Architectural Metals Company (Ramco) was born. The Tarrance family chooses to keep the name Reliable Glass Company because it is a huge part of their family's history. Ramco manufactures and distributes its own line of entrances, storefronts, windows, curtain walls and "Cafe' Style" folding doors and windows. Ramco also carries Laminators Inc. "Omega Panels", glass, break metal and all related hardware.
In keeping with the motto "Always Service Allways" Ramco specializes in customer service with an unprecedented custom fabrication turnover of two weeks or less guaranteed!
